Ishihara Fruit Farm
October, 2014 When it comes to the most delicious food in Okayama, it's undeniably fruit! We went to Ishihara Fruit Farm to savor the delicious fruits of Okayama, Japan's "Fruit Kingdom". The fruit farm has been producing for about 150 years. The farm has a long history and a lot of memories. Grapes and pears were in season when we went.
The taste of the fruits we picked on our own were especially delicious!
They were so sweet.
The owner said, "You should turn the pear upside down and lift it up with your hands to pick it more easily". We followed this tip, and we were able to pick pears easily without scissors. We used scissors to pluck bunches of grapes.
Right after picking, we couldn't wait to taste them. We said, "Let's eat!" The owner's mother peeled the skin off for us, and we really enjoyed the pears. They were amazingly sweet. The fruits we picked on our own were especially delicious! You can also purchase fruit to take home.
